This is the ayuntamiento (city hall) for the town where I live. This is where I had to register when I moved and this is also where I applied to change the address on my driver's license and car registration. The police station is also located in the building (on the far right) and also the health department. The tower gives it a very unique look and I'm not sure about the history of the building, although I think it used to be a school. In the tiles on the building (I don't think you can read it in this photo) it says Public School Section for Girls on the left of the main entrance and Public School Section for Boys on the right, so apparently children were segregated in the past.
