About a month ago, I promised you I would try to take some photos of the poppies and post to my blog. I'm finally following through on my promise. This picture was taken in Salamanca a couple of weeks ago when I was visiting some friends.
This one was taken in Barcelona last week when I was there to look for a place to live. If I could take pictures on the highway when I'm driving, I would have a lot more photos to share with you, but that's probably not the best idea. :-)

These are beautiful--poppies are one of my favorite flowers, since they are the flower of August when my birthday is. How neat that they just grow by the roadside! Thanks for continuing to me a taste of Spain!
You're welcome, Michelle. I love poppies too. And they seem to have tripled in quantity since I posted these photos. They really are everywhere. They even pop out of cracks in the sidewalk!
