I was inspired recently to make a list of the books I want to read this year. The inspiration came after reading a few of my daughter's blogs and those of another friend. They have been posting a list of the books they are currently reading on their blogs. I have been keeping a list of the books I read each year, due to the influence of a friend in Denver, and decided to add all the books I want to read to my list now and "bold" the ones I haven't read yet. Then when I read them, I will "unbold" them. I figured perhaps it would keep me on track and help me see my progress a little better. My list (are you ready for this?) is already up to 84 books. Yikes! The good news is that I have read 15 of them so far, but that still leaves 69 books to read and only 36 weeks left in this year (that's a sobering thought in itself). But I have decided I'm not going to stress about this. I'll read when I can, which should be a little easier once I'm out of school, and those I don't read I can move to next year's list. So, what do you think?

You're a girl after my own heart! That's a creative idea -- enjoy the anticipation of good books to come!
I think is great! I have not read ONE book since I have been here! Yikes!!! I better get reading! :)
Alice,
You have a lot of things to deal with right now. Don't stress about reading. Last year, my first year in Spain, I read one-third the number of books I had read the previous year.
You'll get back to it. No worries.
Pat
Make sure to post about any especially interesting reads. Oh, and are you going to try to read any in Spanish this year? (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)
