Yesterday I had my first In-N-Out burger -- on this visit to California, at least. I've had friends in Colorado ask me what the big deal is about an In-N-Out burger. I'm not sure I can answer that question. I think perhaps you would have had to have lived in California and grew up eating In-N-Out to understand. Maybe it's just because we can't get them in Colorado, but they sure taste good.

I must admit, I share the Colorado curiosity about In-N-Out. Thanks for letting us in on this cultural phenomenon--different than your Spain updates, but interesting and relevant all the same!! Glad you are enjoying CA.
I don't think you had to grow up there to appreciate them! We love, love, love In-n-Out, and neither of us ever had it before ... I don't know, age 30?
(When I saw the title of this entry, I was just going to say, "oh ... Craig will be so jealous" .. but I thought I should post the other too!)
Thank, Ant, for your comment. I'm glad to know there are some non-native-Californians that feel the same way. I'm hoping for one more stop before I leave California next week. :)
