I have been convicted lately that I'm spending too much time feeling sorry for myself and not enough time praising the Lord. So this morning I put in an English language worship CD on my way to school (I have been trying to listen to Christian music in Spanish but decided today I needed to hear it in my heart language) and this song really ministered to my heart. Here are the words:
Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name,
Would care to feel my hurt?
Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart?
Not because of who I am,
But because of what You've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who You are.
I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still You hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling,
And You've told me who I am.
I am Yours, I am Yours.
Who am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love and watch me rise again?
Who am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me?
I am Yours.
Whom shall I fear,
Whom shall I fear?
'Cause I am Yours.
I am Yours.
I've heard this song dozens of times before and I love the music and the words, but today the words really pierced my heart and reminded me of Whose I am.

I am touched by these words, too, Pat. You inspire me as you share His touch of love upon you today. I want to listen to this song soon. I picture it is lovely in Spanish, too.
I LOVE this song, and this group. They have a unique relationship with God as a group and it shows in their songs. I have been convicted too about some stuff. It will be good to talk to you about it in person. I almost called you up last week to see if you wanted a visitor, but with the airtravel now and my funds have gotten a bit low, I will have to come later. :) Love you!
It's so good to hear what God is doing in your life. Although my struggles are different, I still must learn the same lesson that I am His, no matter where I am, and that He never changes. Thanks for your encouragement, in the midst of your down days! Love you!
What a beautiful song! I'm so glad you shared it in your blog :)
*hugs you*
