Last night, our school held their annual Fall Festival on the school grounds. It's a fund-raiser for the Senior class, to help them raise money for their Senior Trip. Here are a few photos. You can see more on my Picasa web album.

Big Sib-Little Sib Day
Our school has an annual event where they pair up older students with younger students and they call it "Big Sib-Little Sib Day." It's a lot of fun for the students (and the staff, too). Here are some photos from yesterday's event.
The theme for the day was sports. So the pairs decided on what sport they would represent and dressed accordingly. (Some of the teams had additional props.)
These girls were eating lunch at a nearby table, watching the guys in the previous photo get their picture taken for the yearbook.
This was taken during the judging. Several of our "little sibs" were out sick so some of the older students joined another group.
You can see the jerseys in the background that were hung to help decorate the auditorium. StuCo (Student Council) planned the entire event.
Part of the fun of the afternoon were relay races and games, both outside and inside. Fortunately, the weather was very nice for outside play and "a great time was had by all!"

September was a busy month
Wow! It's hard to believer that October is here already. September seemed to fly by. The beginning of school went very well. There were lots of activities, including a Back-to-School BBQ one day during lunch and our Fall Picnic on a Friday evening. I was also invited to two staff birthday parties. Our WorldVenture team said good-bye to two families that are leaving the field (see previous blog entry). I visited four different churches. I started attending a Monday evening prayer group with some of the women from school (staff & parents). The Student Leadership Team went to a conference in Budapest. The 4th/5th Grade class began their unit on American Indians and had a cookout for lunch one day (see photo below).
I'm very busy at work but I like it that way. I'm trying to get more sleep so I have more energy to keep up with the pace. The staff has been very affirming and patient as I learn my job. They're a great group of folks, dedicated to the Lord and with hearts to care for, as well as teach, MKs (missionary kids).
